Bramper Farm, the farm of Thomas and Esther Smothwaite,
parents of Margery Smothwaite (1766-1812),
who was the first wife of Robert Dumville (c1767-1857)

'It was peaceful and quiet. The River Swale was about two hundred yards
from the farm but Bramper never flooded because it was on a slight hill.'

These photographs were given to Jill by Mrs. Glynise Dunn,
whose father Fred Ramsay farmed Bramper from approximately 1961 to 1996,
and the excerpt above is from her letter to Jill.
