This albino mole was trapped and photographed by Dave Angus.

Dave Angus lives in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, 'Pittsburgh Steeler Country', between the farms in the valley and the mountains. He has been catching moles most of his life with his father. Their yards of a few acres are adjacent and are torn up by moles. They typically catch the moles in the spring, when the moles do the most damage and are easier to catch, using a mouse trap with peanut butter on it placed near the tunnels. In spring 2006 their catch was about two dozen moles, which was higher than usual. The traps have sometimes caught chipmunks and birds too.

Adrian Anderson caught and photographed this ginger/blonde mole in West Chiltington, Sussex on 6 November 2007. He says, 'It was a persistent, evasive little devil and took about four months to catch. Is this a blonde trait?'
